Bachelor Australia – Love In Lockdown

Bachelor Australia – Love In Lockdown

2020-03-27

Is this an excuse for someone to break out the shirtless selfies? Following news that Bachelor Australia Season 8 had suspended production, Channel 10’s head of entertainment has quipped that “Love in Lockdown” will continue with virtual dates after cast and crew left the mansion for their 2 weeks of self-isolation.

Speaking on radio show Kyle & Jackie O, host Kyle Sandilands asked: ‘So are you going to film those dates while they isolate?’

‘Yeah, we’re actually working through that at the moment. We’re calling it “Love In Lockdown”, was the reply.

Tate explained that filming was approximately a third of the way through, and claims this buys them some time till the season premiere which usually falls in the last few days of July (with a pushback to mid-August on The Honeybadger’s ill-fated season).

While we’ve no doubt the contestant’s are well versed in getting their Facetime angles right (none of these kids are old enough to know them as MySpace-angles) – how much time do you want to spend staring up their perfectly plucked and preened noses while umming and ahhing over the possibility of love?

Will we be so starved of Bachelor content that this shrivelled morsel sates our appetites, or will we take a step back from the table after filling up on high quality “pod dating” via a season of Love Is Blind, and 3 seasons of The Circle (2 x UK, 1 x US)?
